MORRIS TOWNSHIP штат Нью-Джерси, 3 ноября 2008 г. 22 октября 2008 г. компания Honeywell Scanning & Mobility через свою дочернюю компанию Omniplanar, Inc. обратилась к окружной суд США штата Нью-Джерси с иском против компании Datalogic S.p.A и Datalogic Scanning, Inc. Претензии Honeywell к Datalogic касаются программного обеспечения SwiftDecoder компании Omniplanar, включая нарушение авторского права, закона о защите авторских прав в цифровую эпоху (Digital Millennium Copyright Act), нарушение контракта, незаконное присвоение коммерческой тайны и нарушение законов штата Нью-Джерси (N.J.S.A.) 2A:38A-31. В иске сказано, что к этим нарушениям может относиться продукция обработки изображений 2D компании Datalogic, включая Gryphon, Power Scan, Lynx, Magellan, Kyman, JET и Matrix. Honeywell просит наложить денежный штраф, судебное запрещение и арест на имущество за использование такого программного обеспечения.

Моррис Тауншип, штат Нью-Джерси, США, 2 июля 2008 – корпорация Honeywell (NYSE:HON) завершила сегодня процесс над приобретением Metrologic Instruments, ведущего производителя в области лазерного и имидж-сканирования. Сумма контракта составила порядка 720 миллионов долларов США.
Metrologic войдет в состав структуры Honeywell Imaging & Mobility, подразделение Honeywell Security. В состав Honeywell Imaging & Mobility входит приобретенная годом ранее компания Hand Held Products (HHP) – ведущий производитель мобильных и имидж – решений.
«Приобретение компании Metrologic позволит Honeywell занять ведущую роль в динамично развивающейся имидж-индустрии. Francisco Partners Agrees to Sell Metrologic Instruments to Honeywell International

Blackwood, New Jersey – April 28, 2008 -- Francisco Partners, one of the world's largest technology-focused private equity funds, announced today that its portfolio company Metrologic Holdings Corporation, parent company of Metrologic Instruments, Inc., has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Honeywell International for $720 million in cash. Metrologic is a leading provider of data capture and collection hardware and software. The business will be merged with Honeywell Security, part of Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) business.

Motorola and Metrologic Resolve Patent Disputes

Schaumburg, IL and Blackwood, NJ December 31, 2007 - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) and Metrologic Instruments, Inc. of Blackwood, New Jersey announced today that Motorola together with its subsidiary, Symbol Technologies, Inc., and Metrologic Instruments, Inc. and its subsidiaries have reached an agreement that settles all outstanding patent infringement disputes between the two companies.
Since 2002, Metrologic and Symbol have been engaged in a number of patent disputes involving technology in the fields of barcode scanning and mobile computing. The agreement announced today ends all pending litigation.

Blackwood, New Jersey – December 17, 2007 -- Metrologic Instruments, Inc. today announced the release of the IS4920, a miniature mega-pixel imaging engine with a hardware decoder. Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) can easily integrate the high-performance engine into a wide range of devices whose applications demand robust omnidirectional scanning of 1D and 2D bar codes.
The IS4920 joins Metrologic’s IS4910, which was released in August 2007. As the first member of Metrologic’s imaging engine line, the non-decoded IS4910 is intended for OEM’s desiring full control of the camera and decoding software libraries on their embedded microprocessors.
