MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ, Nov. 5, 2008 – MORRIS TOWNSHIP, New Jersey, 3. November 2008 – Durch seine Tochterfirma Omniplanar Inc. hat Honeywell Scanning & Mobility am 22. Oktober 2008 eine Klage gegen Datalogic S.p.A und Datalogic Scanning Inc. beim United States District Court New Jersey eingereicht. Honeywells Klage gegen Datalogic bezieht sich auf die SwiftDecoder-Software von Omniplanar und schließt die Verletzung von Urheberrechten, den Verstoß gegen das Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Vertragsbruch, Missbrauch von Geschäftsgeheimnissen und Verstoß gegen das Gesetz N.J.S.A. 2A:38A-31 ein. Laut Klageschrift beziehen sich diese Gesetzesverstöße möglicherweise auf alle 2D-Imaging-Produkte von Datalogic einschließlich Gryphon, Power Scan, Lynx, Magellan, Kyman, JET und Matrix. Honeywell verlangt Schadenersatz, eine Unterlassungsverfügung und die Beschlagnahmung der gesetzeswidrigen Software.

Morris Township, N.J., July 2, 2008 – Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today completed its acquisition of Metrologic Instruments, Inc., a leading manufacturer of laser and mobile imaging and remote scanning, for approximately $720 million.
Metrologic will be part of Honeywell Imaging & Mobility, a line of business within Honeywell Security. Honeywell Imaging & Mobility includes Hand Held Products, a leading manufacturer of imaging and mobility solutions, acquired by Honeywell last year.

Francisco Partners Agrees to Sell Metrologic Instruments to Honeywell International

Blackwood, New Jersey – April 28, 2008 -- Francisco Partners, one of the world's largest technology-focused private equity funds, announced today that its portfolio company Metrologic Holdings Corporation, parent company of Metrologic Instruments, Inc., has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Honeywell International for $720 million in cash. Metrologic is a leading provider of data capture and collection hardware and software. The business will be merged with Honeywell Security, part of Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) business.
